Michel Lynch Classique

AOC Bordeaux

The best of the Bordeaux terroirs

Ambassadors of the terroirs from both north and south of the Garonne, Michel Lynch wines – available in red, white and rosé – constitute the best of the Bordeaux wines for every vintage.

Michel Lynch Red
Lushness and fullness in harmony

Generous, balanced and round on the palate, with firm, ripe tannins… and with its lovely brilliant garnet colour, the Michel Lynch red displays notes of blackcurrant and fresh bread, with an overall impression of ripeness and power. It is the harmonious embodiment of the terroirs of the Bordeaux region, combining the richness of the left bank of the Garonne, Médoc and Graves, with the roundness of the wines from Fronsac, Côtes de Castillon, or from the Blaye area on the right bank. The fruitiness of the Michel Lynch red can be enjoyed young, at 18°C, with red or white meat, game and cheese.

Michel Lynch White
Freshness and Persistence of excellent white grapes

With its pale, brilliant colour and its aromas of citrus, white blossom and pineapple, Michel Lynch Blanc boasts a surprisingly succulent and full-bodied attack on the palate. A structure stemming from the blending of white grapes from the Graves and  Entre-Deux-Mers area to the south of Bordeaux, and from low-temperature vinification in oak barrels. Michel Lynch Blanc should be drunk cool (around 12°C) as an aperitif or as the ideal accompaniment to seafood or white meats.

Michel Lynch Rosé
A refreshing summery aromatic range

A sparkling raspberry-pink colour, intense nose on pomegranate and red fruits… Michel Lynch Rosé makes the perfect summer partner. Supple, round and full-bodied, it delivers aromas of fruit drops, an aromatic range that is typical of the Bordeaux region, and a particularly refreshing finish. Michel Lynch rosé is obtained by “saignée” – or bleeding –, and then subjected to cold vinification to obtain very fruity aromas. Served at between 8 and 10°C, its light and elegant backbone is perfect for an aperitif  or with salads and grills.

Vintages

A mild and rainy winter, a particularly hot month of February and the summer weather in the beginning of spring, the bud break occurred early. The intense frost episode during the nights of April 7 and 8 caused historic damages to the entire French vineyard. The vegetative cycle was very disturbed but hope is reborn with the counter-buds which restart in the last week of April thanks to milder temperatures. The very wet month of June created millerandage and coulure phenomenon, limiting again the harvest potential. Great vigilance in the vineyard allows the grapes to mature in good sanitary conditions despite a complicated climatology.

Thanks to the cool summer the aromatic precursors was preserved giving very expressive juices with a beautiful liveliness.
